Members of the Waldwick Police Department raised more than $20,000 Saturday to start a scholarship fund in the name of Officer Chris Goodell, the Record reported. Goodell had worked for the Waldwick Police Department for five years. The scholarship will go to one senior from Waldwick High School each year, said Waldwick Police Sgt. Troy Seifert, who organized the fundraiser. Goodell graduated from the high school in 2000. Current and former Waldwick police officers and their families helped with the event, Seifert said
